Sleep

We’ve initiated some sleep training to help Evan fall asleep in his toddler bed by himself and stay in his room for the night. On the third night of training, he protested for a few minutes and then there was sweet silence. 3-4 hours later when I was ready to go to bed, I went in to check on Evan. It took my eyes a little time to adjust to the dark but I could see his head near the edge of the futon, which he prefers to his toddler bed. His head was kind of close to the edge, so I decided that I would try to move him away from the edge. I reached out to scoop my hands under him and there was nothing there! I experienced this weird feeling of confusion and panic, but as my eyes adjusted to the light I realized that he had fallen asleep in a standing position with his head on the bed!
