Christmas with the Hills

On the 26th, we celebrated Christmas with the Hill side of the family. Evan was completely showered with gifts for a third time and enjoyed it just as much.  He opened presents from Ree and Eric, Jua and Ann, Grandma and Grandpa Hill, Aunt Diane and even Uncle Paul.  Favorites were his Elmo stuffie, his new potty chair, Scout the puppy, and a tiger puppet.  Evan learned how to roar like the tiger and would imitate Aunt Diane whenever she opened the tigers mouth and made a roar sound….sooo cute!

We enjoyed spending some extended time at Grandma and Grandpa Hill’s house during the week. Evan was very pleased that Grandma had stocked the fridge with blueberries.  One morning, she made Swedish pancakes and placed a single blueberry in each one for Evan.  Evan lifted the pancake in the air, ate the blueberry straight out of the middle and then pushed the pancake aside….silly boy.  He sure loves his blueberries!

Another favorite pastime at Grandma and Grandpa Hill’s house was visting the tangerine tree. Multiple times a day, Grandpa Hill would take Evan out to the tree to pick a tangerine. Then they would bring it inside to share.  Evan really enjoyed sharing the delicious pieces with everyone.

We also had the pleasure of visiting Jua and Ann’s house, which was in the process of being remodeled. They have a new island in their kitchen, which is quite large. One evening, Evan had a blast running around the island at least 50 times.  Daddy would chase him around and then hide at one end….jumping out to surprise him.  Evan was giggling the whole time, he had so much fun!

What a lucky boy, Evan! I can’t wait to help put on a puppet show with all your new furry friends. So much fun to revisit the festivities through your wonderful pictures you two! Love, Ree
