Hiking in Julian

We went to William Heise Park in Julian on Sunday to take a hike and test out the Kelty carrier that we bought off craigslist.  There was still a lot of fire damage from the Cedar fire in 2003, but it was still a pretty little hike.  We saw several wild turkeys. Evan really enjoyed being so high up on daddy’s back where he had a good view. After the hike, we stopped at the Julian Pie Company for a slice of apple pie.

It sounds like a great place to hike! Evan has the best view. What a great way for him to ride!
Lots of love from Mom and Dad

What a neat looking carrier, Evan. Does it take some getting use to so you don’t knock someone off the path when you turn around? “Look at that Turkey go, oops, sorry!”
Looks like there’s even room for a tray of sweet potatoes. You can call it “The Dine & Hike.” Ok, it’s getting way past my bedtime. — Love the pictures and looks like lots of fun! Love y’all, Ree

Evan looks like he really enjoys riding in style! That carrier is also good for Daddy’s posture as it pulls his shoulders back! Lucky boy to have such a tall Daddy…. Evan’s got the best view of everything!

We’re hoping to get in some of these great nature adventures with you when we visit in May…. you have done a lot of exploring!

    love, A, J & L
