Evan’s First Christmas

_mg_2268_2_1200
We had a great first Christmas with our little man and the rest of the clan!  We traveled north to Sacramento and were able to spend time with both families.  Before Christmas, we stayed at the Bell’s house in Placerville.  Evan met Great Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dave, as well as cousin Olivia when they came for a visit from Sonoma.  We spent Christmas Eve (and Erik’s Birthday) at the Bell’s.  Evan had a great time looking at the Christmas tree and his big pile of presents.  When it came time to open gifts, Evan received toy’s galore, but his favorites where his cups and Tickle Monster book (well…maybe that was just Daddy’s favorite!).  Of course, he seemed much more interested in the wrapping paper and bows than anything else.

We headed to the Hill’s house in Sacramento to spend Christmas day at the Hill’s.  Evan was a bit fussy while we saw what Santa had brought him in his stocking.  Again, he was most interested in the paper when it came time to open gifts, but he also grabbed for the little toy train and finger puppets.  He received a lot of toys, fun books to read and a special compilation of songs from Grandpa Larry.  Julia, Ann & Lola hosted a delicious Christmas dinner. We had a good sized crowd with our extended family from Colombia and Great Grandma Bev & Great Aunt Ann joined us in Sacramento this year.

Everyone was very generous with Evan and we can’t thank you enough. We felt very fortunate to be with family for the holidays. It was a wonderful first Christmas for Evan. Thank you one and all!
