Who Pays?

Friday, August 31st, 2012

Mommy:  ”Do Mommy and Daddy pay for everything?”

Evan: “No, just Mommy.”

Mommy: “What about Daddy?”

Evan: “No, he just goes to work.”

This morning, Evan looked down and announced, “these are my nipples. They’re not hairy like Daddy’s.”

Mommy told Evan that Lily was coming over to play.  She had a little talk with him about sharing his toys, since he has struggled with it on past play dates.  After a little resistance, Evan finally said, “Don’t worry Mommy, I’ll share.”

Car Wash

Saturday, August 18th, 2012

We were loading into the car after shopping at Costco and decided the car desperately needed a car wash. We told Evan we were going to get a car wash and he said, “No, I don’t want a car wash!” For some reason after the last time we went through the car wash together, probably a year ago, he said he didn’t like it anymore.

I told him the car really needed a bath and he started screaming and throwing a crazy tantrum in his car seat. While we were waiting our turn, he was just screaming at the top of his lungs and beside himself. After the car was covered with soap and the big spin brushes started wiping the soap off, Evan suddenly stopped his screaming and said, “Oh, I like the car wash.”

Hair Brush

Evan was hanging with Mommy while she was brushing her hair.  He said, “I want to brush my hair too!”  So, he did, and he was quite proud of himself.
