Ultrasound – 12.5 weeks

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

We had another ultrasound to test the Nuchal translucency a non-invasive test for chromosomal abnormalities.  We had a very energetic ultrasound tech, Cesar who made fun of Becky for the weakest cough in history.

The bean was still very active, with arms and legs flailing all around.  For awhile the little guy was sucking its thumb too.  When Cesar was trying to get the bean to change position, he had Becky cough and it was fun to see the bean jump with her, it looked like it was sneezing with its whole body.  It was a little early but Cesar was convinced he could tell the gender, and we were pretty convinced by what we saw too! :o)

Ultrasound – 12 weeks

There is really something in there.  And it is active!  We have nicknamed our little compadre the jumping bean.  Those arms and legs are moving all over the place!

The doctors were testing out a new machine so we got lots of extra pictures and time to see the bean.  It is easier to discern the shapes when the picture is in motion, but we’ll take what we can get.
