Wednesday, February 27th, 2013

Evan went down to La Jolla Cove with Mommy and Aunt Kristy a few days ago…

Visiting Daddy’s Work

Monday, February 18th, 2013

Evan loves visiting Daddy’s work and he asks frequently to go.  When Becky had a doctor’s appointment recently, Evan got to spend lunch with Daddy.  He made himself right at home and got to play some games.

Snow Day

Saturday, January 26th, 2013

We took Evan up to the snow at Sly Park with Aunt Kristy and Nana a few days after Christmas.  He got to make a snowman and loved sledding down a hill a bunch of times.  It was hard to get him to stop sledding.

Fingers Crossed

Saturday, October 13th, 2012

We were waiting in line for the Bus tour at the Zoo. I told Evan that we might not make it on the bus that was ready, since there were so many people in front of us, but if we didn’t make it, then we would get on the next bus in a few minutes. Then I said, “Cross your fingers.” He said, “I don’t want to cross my fingers, I want to get on the bus!”

Zoo with Friends

Saturday, September 8th, 2012

Evan went to the zoo a few days ago with his buddies Kyle and Lily and another little girl. Apparently they were all little angels with no big fights or tantrums and all let each other pick which animals to go see next.  Evan has been talking about his trip to the zoo with Lily and Kyle a lot lately. It sounds like a good time was had by all. Evan got to see the Tigers he wanted to see and they all caught a glimpse of the baby Jaguar cubs.

I wanna see ducks!

Saturday, April 28th, 2012

The other weekend Evan and I were headed to the San Diego Zoo, one of the best zoos in the country.  On our way I asked him what he wanted to see at the zoo.  He thought for a moment and then said, “Ducks!”.  I said, “Ok!  What else should we see?  Lions, giraffes or rhinos?”  He said, “No, Ducks!” So, we found ducks, and he was a happy boy!  Good thing we have such an eclectic zoo nearby, you never know when he might want to see a duck!

Zion’s Birthday party

Sunday, March 25th, 2012

This morning we told Evan that we would be going to Zion’s birthday party at 2pm. He got all excited, and was singing the Happy Birthday song all day long, (even now as he’s supposed to be sleeping). He had a blast with the bouncy house, the animal hunt, Zion’s battery powered 4-wheeler, the pinata, the pizza, and his very own cupcake piled high with frosting. We had to pull him from the bouncy house when it was finally time to go.
After the party we got a message from Zion’s Mom. She said after everyone had left, she asked Zion what his favorite thing was today, probably hoping to hear one of the many things she had worked hard on to get together for his birthday. Zion responded, “Evan.”
