New Friend for Book time
Thursday, January 9th, 2014Daddy Story Time
Tuesday, May 8th, 2012Evan’s preschool invited parents to share a story with the class, so I signed up. I was pretty excited about it and debated for a while about which book to read. I decided on a relatively short one with a high picture to word ratio. :) The little one’s seemed to enjoy it and I love how each of their little personalities come out in this video.
Evan Story Time
Tuesday, May 8th, 2012The evening after Daddy read a story to Evan’s class, Evan arranged a bunch of chairs in the living room, sat down an audience of stuffed bears and wanted to read them some stories, including the book Daddy read.
Story for Bear
Tuesday, May 8th, 2012Evan encourages his Bear to read a dinosaur book, then plops the Bear on his lap and reads the book to him. Earlier in the day, Daddy read a story to Evan’s class.
Goodnight Moon
Monday, April 30th, 2012After two and a half years of Daddy reciting Goodnight Moon every night before bed, tonight Evan decided to squeeze Daddy’s nose while he was reciting the book. The most hysterical laughter ensued, when Daddy’s voice sounded weird. There’s nothing like two years of routine to setup a joke. He laughed insanely hard!
Note for Elephant
Sunday, March 25th, 2012Evan chose this book to check out from the library 10 days ago. We’ve read it most every night since. Last night we didn’t read it, but while reading a different book, he decided to recite the “Note for Elephant” from memory. I had never asked him to repeat it before, he remembered it just from listening to me. So, tonight when he wanted to read it, we asked him if he knew what it said when that part came and he recited it perfectly!
Peek-A-Boo Book
Friday, December 16th, 2011This is Evan’s favorite book right now. He loves spelling out all the animal names. He’s awesome at his upper case letters, and now he’s been working on his lower case letters with this book.
