Not a Painter

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

Evan continues to refuse to paint at preschool.  I think he’s decided it is just too messy.   His class has 8 kids, so on his class room wall there are 7 paintings and 1 crayon drawing. :o)

Daddy Story Time

Tuesday, May 8th, 2012

Evan’s preschool invited parents to share a story with the class, so I signed up.  I was pretty excited about it and debated for a while about which book to read. I decided on a relatively short one with a high picture to word ratio. :)  The little one’s seemed to enjoy it and I love how each of their little personalities come out in this video.

It’s Mine!

Monday, October 24th, 2011

It’s Mine Time.  Credit goes to preschool, they even gave us a copy of the toddler’s creed at his first teacher’s conference.  So, he doesn’t share quite as well as he used to, but it is probably a good developmental milestone.  He needs to know that some things are his and he deserves a turn with shared toys, etc.  He will still share sometimes, but he definitely knows how to say, “It’s Mine!’

Preschool Right Now

Thursday, October 13th, 2011

Evan had another good day at preschool today. :)  So, we’re pretty confident at this point that it is all going to work out.  Here’s a video of him from the night before, ready to go!

Preschool breakthrough

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011

Evan protested being dropped off this morning, but the teachers said that he did great! They said it was like he was a different kid, happy and active all day. :) Hooray!

Preschool Update

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Today was the first day, since preschool began that the school didn’t call us to pick Evan up or stay with him. He threw a fit when Becky dropped him off and was crying when she picked him up, but the teacher said he did better. He stayed close to her all day, but was warming to the idea to venture and play with the other kids more. Apparently, he was upset at the end of the day when another Mom came to pick up a classmate and his Mom wasn’t there. But, progress has been made!
